Baby Shower Sept. 1
The Grundy County Health Department will host a baby shower for expectant mothers with due dates from September through February at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, at the GCHD Education Annex, 1307 East 17th St., Trenton.
The event will include vendors, refreshments, gifts and information about programs and services available to mothers and families.
“Having a baby brings a lot of excitement, but it can also bring a lot of questions,” said Shelby Roof-Ewald, community health nurse with the Grundy County Health Department. “This baby shower is a chance to connect with those who can help, learn something new and enjoy time celebrating this important stage of life.”
A special infant-feeding class will be offered at 5:30 p.m. Christina Ferguson, GCHC's
WIC-certified registered dietitian, will discuss different infant-feeding options and answer questions.
Whether this is your first baby or you have been through it before, there is always something new to learn, Roof-Ewald said. “We want moms to feel supported and know they have resources available to them as they prepare for their new baby.”
