Vaccine Availability
The Grundy County Health Department has COVID-19 vaccine available, please call (660) 359-4196 for an appointment.
Flu Vaccine Available
The Grundy County Health Department has flu vaccine available for all ages on Tuesdays from 10 am to 1 pm and 2-4 pm. No appointment is needed. Vaccine available for all ages, including High Dose vaccine for people 65 and over. Please bring Medicare, Medicaid, or private insurance card for billing purposes. Donations will be accepted for individuals who are uninsured.

Booster Dose Information
Pfizer-BioNTech
Everyone 12 years and older should get a booster at least 5 months after your second shot
Pfizer only booster for teens age 12-17
Pfizer or Moderna (mRNA vaccines) are preferred in most situations for adults
Moderna
Adults 18 years and older should get a booster at least 5 months after your second shot
Pfizer or Moderna (mRNA vaccines) are preferred in most situations for adults
Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen
Adults 18 years and older should get a booster at least 2 months after receiving your dose of J&J

On December 16, the CDC endorsed the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices recommendation that expressed a clinical preference for individuals to receive an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine over Johnson & Johnson.
